Weekly Update #2

Hi!
My week off has been quite busy. I'm working on a new story and on this game at the same time. I'm still doing the same thing as I was last week. That means I'm still working on what exactly I want to put into this game. I know that I will, for sure, have:

  • Mini-games
  • Farming
  • Flower shop
  • Multiple storylines

That's it for now,

Weekly Update

Hello!
Yes, I know it's not Sunday. Terribly sorry.

Anywho, I'm still working on which features to include in the game. Right now I'm making a list of anything and everything that pops into my head. Soon I'll go back over this list and weed out the bad ideas, excess, and ones that I don't think would flow well.

Merry Christmas!!

New Life Simulation

I have made the choice, after much thought, to start over with a new life simulation project. At the moment it's still only in the planning stages. I can tell you that I'm going at this project an entirely different way from
my last one. This time I'm going to plan out almost everything before hand. My last project was almost entirely on the fly work and you could tell. The different features didn't flow well and the entire game felt crude. My hope with this new project is to take it up a notch and make a game that is polished and where everything flows well together.

What can I tell you about this new venture? At the moment, not a whole lot. It doesn't even have a title. I'm still working on all the features that will be included and what mechanics will be within this game. In the future, once I've finalized more things I will share more information. Keep in mind, though, that I'm going to take my time with this project. I'm not going to rush. I also have a full time job and I have school as well so progress will be very slow. Still, I think this project will get finished, given time. I hope everyone will look forward to it!

My goal for this blog while developing this game is to post an update here every Sunday. These updates may be how I go about doing things, software reviews, and information about the game.

Look forward to it!

Various Tweaks

Hello, folks!
I hope this day finds you all well and happy. I've been working on Taradiddle every day so far. I did a lot of art and worked some with tweaking maps and fixing bugs. It's late and I have to get up super early tomorrow so I'll post again at some later date!

New Music

Hello everyone,
Well, my summer training is over. I still have a lot of assignments and will be interning for a year but the most intense is (I think) over. This means I have time to work on Taradiddle once more!

What am I working on today? Music. I need to assign music to various parts of the game and figure in seasonal music changes as well.

May 8th

Gooood day to you!

Wells, I did databasing today. I'm extremely close to having all the armor databasing done, which is super exciting. In other exciting news... my training will take place this summer! I'm so excited about that I can barely contain myself and to be honest I only worked on my game for about 45 minutes because I was finding it too hard to concentrate(stupid ADD). Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get things together and work for a longer period of time.

April 24th

Today I worked on two main things but for the most part I spent my time with the NPC called Charles. First I set up the switches and variables for befriending him. Then I drew his portrait.

I've recently started using Manga Studio 5 to make the portraits. I'm enjoying it a lot so far and it works better than the other programs I've tried. I don't have enough cash for Photoshop so it's a good enough alternative. I love the pens that it has and the coloring isn't bad either.
Charles Singer
Charles was born and raised in Trinin. His family has been running the only hotel in town ever since it's founding over 150 years ago. He lives with his wife Tess and daughter, Olivia, who is the local school teacher. Charles dislikes change and has an uncanny ability to draw out others' problems when talking to people. He enjoys helping others when he's able but can be grumpy if you catch him at a bad time.

The thing I spent a lot of time doing was the chat option which looks simple on the player's end but behind the scenes it's a more complicated. There are seven "ranks" of friendship. Each rank gets its own text. The text will also vary depending on the season and whether or not his daughter is married. Minor changes also occur if you're a girl versus a boy. Most of this checking is handled in a common event but there are some things that happen in the normal event. This includes the check for which rank of speech to call up and a check for if the player has already spoken to Charles that day. If you have already spoken then you don't get any friendship points. At the end of the chat you're booted from the event and allowed to go on your merry way. There are still some tweaks I plan to add. I'm going to make icons for each choice and may try to add a namebox on the right side. Haven't 100% decided how or where I'm going to display the name of who's talking. For now a name just isn't displayed.

I will push the portrait more to the left side once I have all the portraits done. For now I'm leaving the largish gap on the left. The windowskin is also placeholder, ignore it.
The only other thing I did today was begin redoing my maps with the new tilesets I bought today. (futuristic and modern). These screenshots are still very much a work in progress!! I'm still playing around with it. I was only able to get two maps sort-of redone before I ran out of time. I did a NPC's home and a portion of the main town. I like the sets a lot so far. Hopefully I keep liking them despite having the pain of replacing all the old maps :)

April 23rd

What I accomplished today:
  • Finished generating the last of the NPCs
  • Replaced placeholder sprites
  • Lacy now walks to and from places on her day off
  • Finished Lacy's headshot

April 22nd

Today I was able to get a lot done. I made four icons, completed a headshot, and got NPC Lacy walking to and from work. I also tweaked some maps and made the movement system a bit smoother. Also cleaned up my scripts and got rid of a couple that I'm not using anymore. Also did a little testing. Now I'm off to relax.

Today I made 8 icons. They were all food and all started with the letter B. I'm finally done with all the B food icons though, which is exciting. Next up will be C foods, obviously.

Got Some Work Done

Today has been quite hectic. I have so many things going on. Work, Camp NaNoWriMo, and now GMD. Maybe I'm trying too many things at once but... I have to try, at least. Despite it being hard to sit down and work on Taradiddle today I did it. I got in about two hours worth of work. I planned on paper a new mini-game, created the above portrait, and fleshed out a cutscene. The cutscene is one where you are introduced to Nicole Lore, a NPC, and her problem. The result will vary depending on what choice you make and how you react to what she says. At the end of her storyline it will be your choices that will decide if it is a good or bad outcome. For some people a bad outcome can mean they move away! For others, of course, it isn't as drastic. Your choices in any cutscene will affect the way others treat you. If you consistently pick rude or mean options than other villagers may become more reserved with you.

Feeling Better, Script Writing

Hello!
Well, today starts a new month and Camp NaNoWriMo! During this month I will be writing scripts. This includes Taradiddle's cutscenes! So while I may not have any screenshots to show you the progress it will be happening!

Still Sick, Rough and Random Sketch

Here is a VERY rough sketch of a girl jumping. I was just fiddling around, not really trying to make a masterpiece. Today I had to miss work because of my illness. I also didn't do much of anything on Taradiddle since I was feeling bad. Mostly I watched Fairy Tail episodes and scribbled an idea down here and there. I don't think it was enough to really count as anything. Here's to tomorrow and hopefully getting back on track with everything!

Yesterday and Today

Well,
This weekend I've been working on Taradiddle despite having a cold. I'm working on the storylines for the most part. Trying to tighten things up and figure out how everything fits together and interacts with the world. I want the storylines to really change the face of the town, what people say, etc. I'm debating whether I should have each person's walking schedule change after you complete a storyline. I'm also experimenting with some art software. That's all I'm doing this weekend. Anywho. I may or may not be working tomorrow depending on how I feel. Either way I'll try to get the energy to work some more Monday!

Sorry for Vanishing!

Work started and I've been so tired afterward that I just don't have the energy to work on Taradiddle. Perhaps at the end of next week when the work is over for the moment I will be able to get back to Taradiddle. Until then, wish me luck! My whole body is sore.

Clothes, Clothes, and MORE Clothes!

Today I worked with the girl clothes. I organized, tweaked, and layered for some and others I left alone. The clothing system in Taradiddle gives a lot of options for the player. You can wear just the basic clothes or you can have fun with accessories and over-layers like vests and jackets to make each outfit look totally different. The above outfits are fairly basic, only one has a jacket and none have any accessories. They aren't quite working in game yet but I got a lot of them organized today. I've learned that taking the time to get everything together before putting it in the game pays off in the long run. Thus I'm going to spend the next few days getting all the clothes together and renamed how I want them before going forward. There is still a lot to do but with luck I will get this game finished before I'm an old lady!

A New Month

Hello!
How is everyone doing? I'm back to working on Taradiddle after a bit of a break.

Today I'm working on the clothes that you can buy and wear for both girls and boys. There are quite a few different things to wear and then you can also layer jackets and other accessories on top to give you even more options. I've made quite a bit of headway already so I hope to get some things working in-game before the end of the day!

Screenshots!

Hello everyone! It's the end of another month. Because of this I thought I'd leave you guys with some screenshots and highlight one of the villagers who you'll meet when playing Taradiddle! So first, the screenshots.

Okay, not a screenshot but a random art-bit I did

Ruby Lore:
Born seventy years ago, when heroes were more common and Trinin was booming. She was raised in Trinin and married a travelling  merchant. She had just one child, Nicole. When Nicole was just three Ruby got her first major hardship: her husband was missing. He had missed one of his stops and calls started coming in asking where he was. Ruby didn't know. Weeks turned into months then years and Ruby's husband wasn't heard or seen. The government considered him dead after three years. Devastated Ruby become an empty shell and Nicole was often sent to the neighbors so that her mother could mourn. The mother managed to heal but not until her daughter had grown distant and no longer wished to be close to her. Ruby tried hard to reconnect but Nicole just didn't have the will to make it work. Instead Nicole left Trinin for some years. Upon her return she brought a baby girl with her and no husband. Ruby was older,  it was harder for her to move around. Yet when Nicole came back Ruby welcomed her daughter with open arms and promised to help raise her grandchild no matter what. Now the three live together with Nicole working and Ruby staying home to help look after Alisa, her granddaughter. Every day she will sit at Trinin's entrance and wait, peering into the dark forest and waiting for her lost husband to return.

As to what I worked on today I did more writing. It's amazing how much writing is in involved. When I started this project a year ago I thought the majority of work would be using the game-maker but it isn't, a lot of time is also spent in writing, art, and lining resources up. Well, I guess it's time to backup all the work I have so far.

February 26th

Worked on writing out more cutscenes today. Also got a lot of the first draft for a mini-comic done up. It's really rough at this point but I've got the basic story down. The comic will focus on two NPCs, Greta and Emmaline. It will follow them as they spy on a 'suspicious' person they've never seen before. Other than that I took screenshots and uploaded them to my website.

On an unrelated note I got accepted to the training school! Super excited atm.

February 20th

I worked on NPC movements today. Spent a good two hours working on them today. I discovered I had forgotten to switch one map over to my new system so that took an hour in itself. Then I worked more on one of the NPCs that you can marry, Greta Moore. Then I tested what I had so far to make sure they all worked right. They did, by the way.

Non-Game related: I got everything sorted for the training school I'm trying to get accepted into. Now I just have to wait for the interview and then cross my fingers and hope I get accepted! I'm so full of nervous energy... I think I could explode and splatter my computer at any moment. If I don't get accepted, to be honest, I'm not sure what I'll do. Someone asked me this a few days ago and I hadn't really thought of it *blushes*. I've been so stressed getting everything together that I hadn't had time to think of failure. Now that's all I can think of since there is nothing else to think about until the interview. Anyhow, you guys probably don't care about this anyway.

February 19th

The above is the NPC I've been working on. You can marry her so her movements are a lot more complicated than a normal NPC. First, it changes depending on if she is unwed, wed to rival, or wed to you. If she is married to you it changes once more depending on what house you're living in at the time. So that's a lot of different possibilities and routes and times when it comes to her travelling around the village. I will get it done though even if it takes me five years! Oh, and today I mostly wrote things.

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope everyone had a better day than I did. Anywho.

Today I used the Looseleaf generator and got all the female hairstyles made and converted for Ace. Only other thing I did today was attempt to think of some new mini-games but I wasn't able to as I've had a headache all day.

Book Sorting Mini-Game

Today I made all the icons for the book sorting game and finished putting it in as well! The game takes up time and energy for your character despite the short time it takes to actually play the mini-game. How much you are paid varies with how many books you sort. If it's 0 you don't get paid anything. If you go to a bookshelf without a book or you have the wrong book a message will pop up taking up some of the precious time that you have. Also, if you miss Emmaline's first showing of the book you're sorting you can ask her to show you again. The second time she shows you it takes up more time than before so it's better if you don't have to ask her a second time. Tomorrow I'm going to work on thinking up more mini-games to play. I want each one to be unique with different mechanics. I hope I'm able to do that!

February 12th

Today, for the most part, I worked more on the written parts of Taradiddle. In fact, the written, I would say, makes up at least half of the game so I have to start writing a lot more than I have been. I got the first event of Emmaline almost down and finished up her backstory and personality. I also worked on writing a mini-story from Trinin and added some things to my GDD. Then I worked on the actual game.
I'm figuring out and putting in my first mini-game. It's book sorting at the library for cash. In Taradiddle part-time work is a mini-game unless you turn them off in the option screen. If you turn mini-games off you'll just get a fade screen and a set amount of money. If you play the mini-game you can earn more than the base amount if you do a good or great job. Each shop will have its own separate game. So the work I did today on the book-sort game doesn't have it anywhere near done but I am closer than yesterday, which makes me happy. Tomorrow I have to make a lot of icons for the mini-game.

February 11th

I only got to work on my game for about an hour and a half. I had to go to a lot of other places today. Despite that I did get the following done:
Three icons made, Emmaline to and from work(unwed), Clinic set up, Emmaline backstory writings, Looseleaf generated NPCs(6).

February 8th

Today I:
Finished up two more NPC schedules, which was exciting. Finished making a new map of a NPC's house. I also wrote some dialogue for a woman that you can marry(Greta Moore) and worked on her personality and backstory. The map may still change a bit but it's overall design won't.

Come Monday I plan to put Emmaline Smith's schedule into the game and get the clinic where she works up and running!

February 7th

The above is the portrait I completed today. She is Laura Smith, the mother of Emmaline and Alix Smith, two people that you can marry.

Only other thing I did today was fix the lag spikes(I think). Turned out the cause was how I was handling the NPC movements. Once I had so many NPCs moving on a map it got laggy at certain spots. I fixed how I handled those and so far the lag has vanished. Here's to hoping it stays that way!

Non-game related: Today we ordered all the books I'll need for the course I'm taking this summer. That was exciting and I look forward to studying them ahead of time. I'm nervous but excited all at the same time. I'll be living away from home for a lot of the summer. I think it'll be mostly exciting though, an adventure, if you will ;) Oh, I also ordered a new graphic card. Can't wait to see my games after I get it, Friday!

Bakeries, Laura, Lags

Howdy!
Well, today I got a bit done. To start with I finished the other half of Laura's movements(her day off). Then I also finished up the bakery. Made four icons for the food the bakery sells in spring and organized all the food items in the database one final time. Since I got all the food finalized I was able to do that. All that was exciting, I feel good about it.

Then when I was testing I noticed lag spikes at seemingly random times. It was getting all the way down to 30 frames. On one map I know why it's lagging, I had a super-duper long and complicated event. I think I've found a workaround for that though. It was doing it on maps with next to nothing on them though. Tomorrow I'm going to go over my scripts, test my computer on a fresh project, and take a closer look at the parallel common events I have running. I don't have that many and I never noticed them causing any trouble but I'll have to look over everything. Lag isn't acceptable.

February 5th

Yet another day completed!
Okay, so to be honest I didn't get very much time in today. My Mom had surgery and then I went to an archery person who showed me how to put a nocking point on my recurve. Then I shot said recurve to test it out. Despite that I did get some things done:
  1. Two icons made(watering can, hoe)
  2. Three icons tweaked to new style
  3. HUD found and implemented
  4. Laura NPC movements half-way done
  5. Bakery merchandise started but didn't make much headway
  6. James normal portrait completed

(James Moore is the mayor who you can replace. I'm probably going to redo him)

February Fourth

Howdy Folks!
Today I finished fixing the gardening, tweaked maps, tested things, then I fixed a boatload of bugs. So today was a polishing day. Despite not having much in the game there were a lot of things that needed to be fixed, tweaked, or added to make things run smooth. I thought, after finding the garden bug Friday, that I needed to test more and fix what was already done before moving on. Today I think I did that. I also began writing a short story about one of the NPCs. I decided to write each NPC storyline/questline in short-story format and then convert that into a script. I got almost 1,000 words written for that. Overall I'm happy with what I got done today even though it doesn't sound like a lot on paper. Tomorrow I will be back to adding things in instead of just fixing up what's already there!

February First

Howdy Folks to a New Month!
Yep, exciting I know. Anyways.  Today I made six new icons for food. I'm now in the Bs! Two of them are verging on a fail though so I'm probably going to re-do them tomorrow.

This morning I was putting in another garden square when I found yet another bug. So I spent a lot of time fixing that. Still have four more squares to fix. I did get another garden square in today, though now I'll have to go back and fix that one too. I'm glad I caught it now though, instead of later. It's a lot easier to fix things as there aren't that many squares in the game yet.

The last thing I did today was work more on NPCs. Their bios, personality, and so forth. They still feel flat to me. You'd think this part would be easiest for me as I enjoy writing novels and have done so for years but it isn't. I don't know why but I just can't seem to click with these characters. Can't get a good grasp of them. That's why I haven't even started writing their dialogue. Hopefully I'll pull through though. Well, to be honest, I have to or my game will flop. It depends so much on the NPCs, your interaction with them, their secrets and desires. I will prevail! Well, I'm off to dinner.

Last Day of January

Today was a bit disappointing. It just felt like I was flailing around and trying really hard but not getting much done. I tweaked a great many of my maps, trying to make them look a bit better. Then attempted to make a couple of tiles. The tiles pretty much crashed and burned. I just couldn't get them to look good enough to please myself. I still have a lot to learn, it seems.
Then I got one more square of gardening(aka: eventing) done. Gardening is becoming a huge pain in the backside. It just takes so long to get each square done. It's quite tedious as well which makes me want to put it off. I'm making myself do at least one square a day though to make sure I get it done!
(click to make larger)
Here are some of the icons I made. I have two versions of each. A 24x24 and a 50x50. I made two icons today. I'm slowly making my way through a long list of food items that need icons. Then I have to do ingredients, clothes, tools, foraging, system, and probably a few other things that I've just forgotten for the moment. I put the icons as 32x32 on a charsheet as well. That just makes it easier if I ever want an item to show up in a cutscene or make it so the player can find it on the ground or in someone's house, etc.

The last thing I worked on today was more NPC personalities figure-outing. Does that even make sense? Eh, whatever. My brain is kinda fried right now.

Tomorrow I continue the search for a good HUD, more gardening squares, and yes, more icons!

January 30th

This is what I worked so hard on yesterday. Quick note, all the pictures are placeholders right now until I get around to making better. I'll edit later today, once I'm done working! Taking a bit of break right now. Just wanted to share the picture for now.

Edit: The day has ended and I didn't get much done, sadly. I drew 9 icons, put in two shirts, a skirt, and a pair of pants into the game. Then I worked on gardening, got two more squares put in. I spent a lot of my time today looking at colleges so that sucked quite a bit of my time away.

January 29th

Bah. Didn't get to post yesterday.

Today and yesterday I worked on polishing up here and there, testing, bug fixing, and working on the new introduction.

My beta testers found a lot of bugs today so I've been fixing those. Also, I'm still working on the introduction scene. Sheesh, I'm having a lot of trouble with that. It didn't help that the mouse script I had was making switches not work for some reason. So after a few hours of fiddling and hair pulling I finally figured that out. Then I realized I had forgotten to put the background as invisible for one image so it was covering up the other ones. Such a pain! But I will conquer it because I really like this way of doing the character creation. Perhaps tomorrow though. I need a break for now!

Cya!

Edit: I figured it out! After taking a long break to shoot my bow and eat I was able to come back with a cool head and get over the hump within half an hour. The introduction is now well on it's way to getting done. Just have to tweak it here and there and replace two images. Super excited right now! Tomorrow I'll finish it up and work on the character customization.

January 25th

Hello World!
Today I got quite a bit done. I made a new face, got the grocery store operating, entered in another NPC movement, worked a bit on character customization, item data-basing,  and animals.

Overall I'm quite happy with what I got done today. Taradiddle feels like it's finally coming together. It's quite exciting. There is still a lot of work to do though! Come Monday I'll be at it again. Working full-time on this isn't as hard as I thought it would be. Personally I thought I'd have gotten tired of working on Taradiddle by now. It's a lot of fun though despite the sometimes tedious parts. If I get tired of one aspect I can work on something else that is totally different but will still get me toward the goal of completion! Anyway. I'm stopping for tonight. Monday I will test the movement I put in today, do some more artwork, and work on writing out the introduction scene. I'm still not happy with it despite multiple re-writings. I don't know, it just doesn't feel right. I want the intro to be perfect. I  mean it's the first thing the player will see, it's the same as a first page of a book. I'm also still trying to think up new activities for the player to do. I don't want people getting bored because there is too little to do, a downfall of many life-simulation games.

I leave you with two screenshots of the grocery store I finished today!

(NOTE: The windowskin will be changed! Also, I plan on fixing the large indent in the text)

January 24th

Sorry for no update last night. I ended up working late on Taradiddle so I wasn't able to post.

Yesterday I worked on the database and tested the NPC that I had just finished movements for. I also brainstormed for alternate activities for people to do if they don't want to farm. Today I will continue to brainstorm. I will also work on icons and other art-related bits.

January 23rd

Today I made another portrait. This time of a child. I'm not in love with it but it's a good deal better than the old one that I had made.

I also worked on this girl's movements. I got the majority done but not quite all. I also set up all the gardening switches though I haven't actually connected them to anything yet.

The other main thing I worked on was experimenting with creating my own tiles. I really want a custom tileset as I think that really helps set a game apart. Thing is: I'm bad at it. I'm getting better though so we'll see how that goes.

Tomorrow I hope to finish the girl's movements and get a shop operational.

January 22

Another bust is done (yay!). I may begin another one later tonight but I won't be able to finish it.

On to the other things I did today:

1. I made five icons of various vegetables

2. Weeded out scripts I'm no longer using

3. Re-sized some of my graphics as I'm using a script that allows a different resolution

4. Tweaked the gardening system, found and defeated two more bugs

5. Worked on my GDD

6. Did some writing

7. Worked on the personalities of some NPCs

So today I've gotten quite a bit done though nothing ground breaking so I don't feel like I've accomplished a ton. Oh well. Maybe I'll work a little late tonight and knock out a few other things. I might be able to get another NPC in by tomorrow if I hurry.

January Twenty-First

Hello everyone and welcome back!
It's good to be back to working on Taradiddle again after the weekend break. Today I tweaked the gardening a bit more. I also caught a bug. I'm going to test it again later today and more tomorrow just to make sure there aren't any more bugs before I finish putting it all the way in.

Today I also worked on some art in the new style. This time a girl. I like it so far though I'm having a hard time getting the clothes to look how I imagine them in my head. I'll probably finish it up tomorrow. Tonight I have a Bible study that I'm going to and I won't get back until late so I can't finish it today.

The last thing I worked on was some writing. I'm trying to get the introduction scene to my liking. Right now it's quite boring and badly done so I'm making it over. I'm writing all the cutscenes and such out so that there won't be as much re-doing in the actual engine. So far I have very little written. That will soon change though!

Anywhoo.

New Artwork, Gardening System

The above is a re-style of Alix Smith. I'm debating whether I should change styles... yet again. I just can't ever seem to be happy with the faces. It bugs me every time I see them so I think I might slowly change over. Just use placeholders for longer than I had planned. It's a hard choice. I like the new one a lot better than t he old. It makes him look older, not so childish and it looks better, overall, I think. Maybe I'll do a couple more and see how that goes.

The other thing I worked on today was my gardening system. This was also a re-do. I had a system already in place... it just wasn't jamming for me. I used way too many switches and variables. Now that I've gotten better at eventing I saw how crude and clunky the thing was. So I re-did the entire thing. Added in more features, more graphics to make it easier to tell when something was watered or not, etc. I also cut down the switches to one per square. Same with the variables. This was down a TON from before. It's overall much better. I'm quite happy with it, even if it means I have a lot more tedious copy-pasting ahead of me. I think it's worth it for a more rounded system that will also be easier to keep track of now that it doesn't use so many switches and variables. Simplicity is best :D.

Overall I'm quite happy with the progress I made today. Weekend starts tomorrow so see you peoples Monday!

January 17th

Today I finished a NPC named Nicole's movements, both day off and working. Fixed a couple minor bugs. Now I'm going to work more on my GDD. It still needs some work on various tidbits.

Ended Up...

I ended up getting caught up in the written things and am still working on that. I'm updating my GDD and figuring out character personalities. So I'm not going to get around to the NPC movement or artwork today. I'm happy with what I've gotten done today, though! See you guys tomorrow.

New Concept Art- Alix Smith

Here is Alix Smith, a man that you can marry. It's a quick concept I did today. I don't like his one arm or how short I made his legs and will re-do that part but on the whole I think it's decent. Nothing amazing but it gets the job done.

I'll update again, later, with everything else I finish today. I'm hoping to get another NPC done. I'm also going to be working on more written things, finalizing music, and perhaps some more artwork. I'll see how much time all those things take up.

Anyway!

Finished Written NPC Movements!

I finally finished all the NPC movements on paper. Today I also worked on putting a villager's movements in. I finished her working days and am almost done with her day off! It's quite exciting. Once I have all the NPCs in the town won't feel like a ghost town anymore. That's always exciting as it will make Taradiddle feel like it's getting a lot closer to being finished.

Anyway.

January 7th

I'm back from the weekend once more. Today I'm working yet again on character movements. I'm also working on a new system. Right now the system is still in the written stage as I don't have it all figured out yet. If I get it to where I think it'll work I will tell you guys about it. Until then it's a secret :D.

Well- that's it for now.

More Seasonal and More Movements

*pokes title*. Yep, that's what I'm up to today.  Doubt I'll get much completed though as my eye is swollen for some reason and it's beyond irritating. I didn't get much sleep last night because it was hurting. Now it just feels really dry and itches like mad. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow it'll be better and I'll be able to work longer on the computer.

To celebrate the new year here are new screenshots of Taradiddle. Some things are still place-holders so keep that in mind!

Today I will be working on the seasonal changes and more movements for the NPCs. Anywhoo. I'm back to working on Taradiddle!
